Pokemon cards…. why so expensive??????
Here are some of my favorite cards, just for fun.
Growing up, a single pack that used to come in vending machines used to cost 4 dollars. Now they’re 7 dollars. That is, IF you can find any.
I recently got the itch to relive a childhood pastime time and get some for fun. I was quickly disappointed.
When you look for the cards, they’re either sold out or crazy expensive. We got these childless, loveless, chumbawumbas scalping pokemon cards. They upsell these pieces of cardboard for way above market price that it’s just discouraging for normal people.
Honestly, I don’t care enough to look for a solution. At the end of the day, it’s just cards I like to look at.
It really just makes me sick that grown adults are bulk buying pieces of paper made for children who can barely read so that they can then charge them (or their parents) 10 dollars for a card with a pikachu on it.
